Juice Diet

Cherie Calbom is a clinical nutritionist and also known as "The Juice Lady" who is author to the popular book The Juice Lady's Turbo Diet.

The diet is a weight loss diets based around the inclusion of a numbe rof different nutritious juices designed to boosst your health at the same time as reducing your waist line.

The Juice Diet is based mainly around the inclusion of lots of fresh raw vegetables which are all jucied up together! The initial stages of the diet will included lots of vegetables with a limited amount of fruit maily due to fruits high sugar content. In addition you will be encourage to eat carbohydrates low on the Glycemix Index as well as lean protein and healthy fats.

Juice should ideally be made fresh so you will need both time and a juicer which will cost money, but if you want to do the diet properly it is worth the investment so try and pruchase a good one. You can also have ready made juices if making your own is not really feasable, but this may prove not very cost effective in the long term.

Due to the nutritious content of many of the foods you will be eating on this diet you will not only loose weight, but will experience many other bhealth benefits that come with it such as boosting your immune system.

How Does The Juice Diet Work

When commencing the juice diet you will be given lots of foods that you should include and will be advised of what foods you need to avoid, so if you are looking for a diet where you can still eat some of the "unhealthy stuff" then look elsewhere as this diet is as much about a lifestyle change as it is weight loss.

An example day on the Juice Diet may look like this:

Breakfast
Juice of carrot, cucumber, beet, lemon, ginger and green apple
Herbal tea

Snack
Juice of choice
Handful of olives

Lunch
Fresh soup

Snack
Juice of choice

Dinner
Juice of fennel, carrot, cucumber, green apple, mint and ginger
Green leaf salad

Advantages and Disadvantages

There are many advantages and disadvantes to this diet, but overall the health benefits to this diet make it great to follow and the logistics of being able to folloow it can make it hard.
