Tesco Diet

About

As you would expect with Tesco they do not do anything by halves and have not just developed a diet plan, but give you a choice of diet plan you can follow, although you do have to sign up and pay for the privelege regardless of the plan you are doing.

What they have done is taken the principles of many of the popular diets out their at the moment and branded them all under the Tesco umbrella. You will be able to follow a GI Diet, Low Carb Diet, High Fibre Diet to name just a few.

Currenlty to sign up for a year costs you £79.00 which is the cheapest way to do it overall, or you could try it out for 4 weeks for just under £15.

How Does The Tesco Diet Work

It is an online diet club where you can get an extensive ranges of recipes and resources to allow you to follow a healthy diet. Lots of different diets are available to follow so if you are someone that likes to change diet every week or so then you might find yourself saving money with Tesco as you get all the information and guidance on alot of different types of diets all in the same package.

The diets you can choose from to follow are:

Little Black Dress Diet (low calorie diet named for marketing)
GI Diet
Light Choices Diet
Mediterranean Diet
Total Wellbeing Diet
Vegetarian Diet
Low Carb Diet
Cholesterol Lowering Diet
Dairy-free Diet
Diabetes Diet
Gluten Free Diet
Heart Smart Diet
High Fibre Diet
Low Sugar Diet
Low Fat Diet
Lower Salt Diet

So lots of options and many of them include lots of recommendations for tesco own food products, which is not really surprising

Summary

There are lots of advantages and disadvantages to following a Tesco diet. First of all you get a great range of diets you can follow, but this could also be a distraction as if maybe you have a bad week following your current diet it can be very easy to say lets do a different one. you could easily find yourself changing diets regularly and never adapting to a healthly diet long term. It also cost money which if you are just following say the low-carb diet you could save yourself a few quid by purchasing the New-Atkins Diet book which is the most popular low carb diet of all time.

Overall a great range, but too much coice and variety can make it confusing and hard to stick to, and if you know what you want then there are probably cheaper ways to follow the diet.
