Top 3 Weight Loss Excuses

"No Diet Works For Me"

You have tried your hand at lots of different diets only to end up never losing any weight and sometimes even gaining weight. The reason for this is that you are probably doing quick fix diets or detox where you take in an amount of calories or a combination of food that you just cannot maintain long term. As a result you lose weight when you are on the diet only to go back to your old ways because you cannot maintain it and putting all the weight back on.

Solve the problem by stopping strict diets that you only keep for a few weeks at a time and starting lifestyle changes that you can keep for the rest of your life. Try following less strict diet rules like not eating after 8pm or only 1 bar of chocolate a week and gradually chnage your diet and understand the choices you are making. You can also start doing more physical activity by taking up a new hobby.

Remember 1 thing when it comes to losing weight, if calories in are less than calories out you WILL lose weight.

"I Have A Slow Metabolism"

A "slow metabolism" seems to affect virtually every overweight person out there, when in reality it effects an extremely small number of people. Most overweight people have a perfectly normal metabolism and have no reason why they cannot lose weight.

You can boost your metablison by exercise and following a diet of lean meat and healthy fruit and vegetables. You also need to be honest with yourself about what you are eating and just as important how much of everything you are eating. Some people say they have a slow metabolism because the have a healthy diet and exercise, but can't shift the pounds. When they look closely at their diet they find that there are eating lots of fruit which is considered to be healthy, but they are not including this in their daily allowance. So they think they are eating say 1500 calories a day forgeting about the fruit, juices, alcohol or startbucks lattes. Once they add all these on they are taking in double what they think they are.

So what what you eat and how much you eat and exercise regularly and your "slow metabolism" will soon disappear.

"Eating Healthy Is Too Expensive"

With planning and consideration for what you are eating a healthy diet can be even cheaper and end up actually saving you money. Remeber water is free, fizzy drinks and sugary fruit juices are not. Start consuming more of this and watch your weight go down and your savings go up. Make coffee drinks at home instead of heading to your local Starbucks. Skip the fast-food and convenince lunches during the work week and take packed lunch. Use leftovers, make a sandwich or salad, or stock your office with canned soups or better still make your own. You will find you can make some very healthy soups that will fill you up for about 2 or 3 pounds, and this will give you 4 or servings of the stuff! Collect coupons and pay attention to special offers at the local supermarkets. Buy lean proteins like chicken in bulk to save money. Everything comes down to choices you make and the truth is that it easy to say eating healthy is expensive when the truth is you just cant't be bothered, so get of your back side start being creative!
